Dr. Giri Venkataramanan is the Keith and Jane Morgan Nosbusch Professor in Engineering Education in the Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering, College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

With the goal of establishing an engineering research center to meet the needs of the electric utility industry in preparing for the energy transition in the coming decades, the University of Wisconsin-Madison is leading the formation of the Grid Resilience, Climate and Energy Equity for Net-Zero or GREEN-Z Consortium. The Consortium brings together a diverse group of researchers from UW-Madison, North Carolina State University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Colorado Boulder, and University of Colorado Denver. The combined expertise encompasses electric power systems, energy economics, climate modeling, weather forecasting, and social sciences.

Join us for this WPUI Members-Only program to learn about the Consortium and the approach being taken. Dr. Venkataramanan and colleagues are interested in connecting with a diverse range of experts and gaining perspectives and suggestions from the WPUI membership as the Consortium is established and plans develop.
