Room 1106, Mechanical Engineering (map)

This panel discussion serves as a sequel to the March 22 forum, “Understanding the Nuclear Emergency in Japan.” Since that time, there have been new developments in the efforts to stabilize the damaged reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan, most notably the discharge of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean. Experts in nuclear engineering and medical physics will discuss the current status of these reactors and provide updated figures on the potential public health risks from the radiation release.
