Has the way we have managed our capital-intensive, investment-hungry industry changed? This seminar looks at our industry’s current financial and business landscape and reflects on how credit crises and recessions have been handled in the past. This session will present insights from various industry participants regarding the status of the business cycle, the financial markets and the federal stimulus package, and considers their implications for policy, regulation and management for our public utilities.
We will open with a public forum that will cover certain issues, ensuring a common foundation of terms, principles, and standard practices. A set of notes will be sent out in advance of the event to all registrants to help ensure that all participants enjoy comparable levels of familiarity with these issues. In addition, a recent article, written by Leonard Hyman, will be shared with
participants with his permission.
