June 3-7, 2007 Fluno Center, Madison, Wisconsin
This is an annual foundation course, updated each year as technology, regulation, competition and markets evolve. The AGA Gas Rates Course has been here at the University of Wisconsin for more than thirty years.
Course Objective
The objective of this program is to develop a more complete understanding of the operations of the gas industry and of utility regulation, particularly as it relates to rate making issues.
Participants should develop a better understanding of the part they play in their organization and gain preparation for positions of greater responsibility.
This is done through instruction from speakers with first-hand experience in:
- Finance and Accounting
- Regulation
- PBR
- Cost of Service
- Risk and ROE
- Decoupling
- Supply Fundamentals
- LDC & Pipeline Rate Design
Student's newfound knowledge is then reinforced through small group case studies, including presentations on the final day.
Who should attend
The Wisconsin Public Utility Institute at the University of Wisconsin, under the sponsorship of the American Gas Association, offers this program to professional employees of firms in the natural gas industry.
