2024 REGIONAL TRANSMISSION ORGANIZATION FUNDAMENTALS and REGIONAL TRANSMISSION ORGANIZATIONS 2.0

The Fundamentals course will provide a comprehensive overview of regional transmission organizations in North America. Fundamentals registrants will develop a solid understanding of how and why RTOs were created, what their many functions are today, how transmission planning is conducted, how resource adequacy is managed, how the system maintains operational reliability, and how financial markets operate. The Fundamentals course will end with and the RTO 2.0 course will begin with discussions of current issues facing RTOs today as well as the issues ahead. RTO 2.0 will peel back the layers to delve deeper into some of the topics covered in the Fundamentals course.

ENERGY UTILITY BASICS 2024

WPUI has proudly offered Energy Utility Basics annually since 1983. This comprehensive course provides an overview of the history of the electric and natural gas industries, insights into regulatory decision-making, analysis of the current issues facing the energy industry, and more.

This course is perfect for energy professionals, those new to the industry as well as those assuming new responsibilities, who want a better grasp of how all the technological, financial, and administrative pieces of the energy puzzle fit together. Registration is open to the public.
